Film Days in Bulgaria with films about economic topics Documentaries and artistic films allow a different approach to learn about economic topics. By discussing the films with students from Eastern Europe, one also learns a lot about the countries of our partner universities.

Our film festival has tradition - cooperation with universities from Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania and Ukraine has been going on for almost four years. In this online event the discussion with experts and foreign students receives a lot of space.

Overview

Economics can be more than formulas, calculations and the homo economicus. Which documentaries help us to understand current economic events? How well do fictional movies reflect economic  realities? Which movies succeed in combining insights, factual knowledge and suspense? And which films open up options for the future development of our economy and society?

Block week (3 days online - festival) and preparatory meetings for awarding independent work assignments.

The film days take place on 14.4.-16.4.2021.

Important: The program of the film festival is intensive and attendance during the full three days is obligatory.

Obligatory preparatory video conferences on 16.3.2021 and on 1.4.2021, both 6-8 pm

As preparation and follow-up:

  • Documentaries about the Eastern European partner countries
  • Written group work on documentary films on the specific theme of this film festival
  • Final report about the impressions of the whole module

  • Group exercises and discussions with students from Eastern European partner universities
